SIMPLIFY RATIOS

Simplfying Ratios

We have been learning to simplify whole numbers.

Here is my example.

9:18

                                                                                                /3                /3

3:6

but we can simplfy even more

                                                                                          /3                    /3

1:2

this is my simplfyed  ratio.

yo my science fair project is about earthquakes. yo the reason in chose earthquakes is because i just felt like doing it and i only had a couple of day to chose my project so i just chose it. earthquake  happen all over the world An earthquake is the ground shaking caused by a sudden slip on a fault. Stresses in the earth’s outer layer push the sides of the fault together. Stress builds up and the rocks slip suddenly, releasing energy in waves that travel through the earth’s crust and cause the shaking that we feel during an earthquake.Earthquake prediction generally implies that the probability will be temporarily higher than normal. Such a statement requires knowledge of “normal behavior”–that is, it requires a null hypothesis.Earthquakes shake the ground surface, can cause buildings to collapse, disrupt transport and services, and can cause fires. They can trigger landslides and tsunami. Earthquakes occur mainly as a result of plate tectonics, which involves blocks of the Earth moving about the Earth’s surface.the conclusion of my science project is that earthquakes can happen all over the world and we can prodect when it happens but it also can cause tusnami which are also dangrous.
